  I booked Lower Hodre to celebrate my 30th birthday with a group of close friends.

  I wanted to stay somewhere secluded, big enough, cosy enough and with a hot tub and enjoy a weekend away in the countryside.... I was not disappointed!! Everyone had an amazing time. Emma, the host, was so accommodating, kind, friendly and welcoming of us into her home. You can tell Emma has a genuine care for her guests and wants them to enjoy their stay in her property which was really lovely to experience. The place was immaculate. Check in was mega easy. I think this was the best hot tub I've been in - extremely clean and maintained very well. Bonus that it was so close to the house and undercover too. There was plenty of space for us all. The house itself was gorgeous. The kitchen was very well equipped too, with all the essentials. I couldn't have picked a better place for us to stay. Emma, thank you so much.   Thank you for a beautiful property in a wonderful location. Enjoyed drinks at The Globe and meals at The Crown and The Crab House, coffee and cakes at Fenspirits Larder, Little Pasty shop and Wells Gelato. Walks to Holkham and Holkham beach, bus to Morston and walk back via Stiffkey (plus a stop at Stiffkey Stores). Breakfast at Bang! and breakfast and pastries from The Two Magpies. The Nisa supermarket was fine for what we needed as were the butchers and grocers on Staithe Street. Adnams Shop and Norfolk Bottle Shop are good for the beer enthusiast. If you want/need a hat it's worth the short trip to Burnham Market on a wet Tuesday! In summary - no shortage of lovely things to do, places to go and things to see.

  Beautiful cottage, very clean and welcoming with perfect sized rooms. The way the kitchen and living/dining room was set up meant that none of us were cut off especially on Christmas day when there is lots going on in the kitchen. Parking was also a plus point for us, being a party of 5 we came in 3 different cars. There was plenty of parking on the property. The cottage is in a lovely village setting with Knodishall common a stroll away for lovely walks with the dog. Hosts made our Christmas getaway perfect by setting up a Christmas tree and decorations and a welcome card. We definitely recommended Stonehurst for a break and have already recommended to friends. It is not a place that will disappoint!

  The beds in the twin room were a little bit low but once in bed were exremely comfortable. The dining chairs were too low and in one case at least felt unsafe. Cutlery and crockery. the property is advetised as being for six people and there was six of everything, but in some cases, no spares so that if we wanted a snack between meals (and the hildren often did) we had to wash up rather than doing a daily turn in the dishwasher. Also, there were no spare refuse sacks. We are used to bagging gereral waste rather than putting it loose in the bin. Apart from these little niggles, the property was fine. We would certainly consider it for next year, although the location would not be our first choice.

  A lovely, well equipped charming cottage, handily situated next to a traditional pub/restaurant.

  Kitchen had everything you would need (no microwave but that was not an issue for us). Bedrooms spacious and clean. They could do with a few added extras like a hairdryer, bedside light, mirror in the bathroom and heating upstairs, for when the weather cools down. None of this affected our stay. We loved the large sociable lounge/dining/kitchen area with plenty seating. Good laundry facilities on site too. One thing worth noting for other guests info is that one bedroom is on the ground floor, the other 3 are upstairs with a bathroom. A quiet area in which to relax with ample outdoor seating too. We will definitely be back.
