What our customers say about their holidays
Mr Hatch - Verified booking
The decor is very old fashioned and has been over used to the point the logo on the kettle is wearing away. Kettle aas full of scale and needs upgrading. Sofa old fashioned and uncomfortable, found an old dog toy in the sofa. Upgrade sofa. The decor of the house is old fashioned, feels second hand and worn down. Behind one single bed was rubbish, someone's tablets. To have a shower mat in the bath as it is easy to slip. I had to put a hand towel down to prevent slipping. A hand rail beside the bath to avoid slipping. Front and back entrance has a very high step and should be noted in the property description. Suggest installing a hand rail at the back entrance as it was easy to slip. No where to sit in the garden. A broken bench with a warning notice that it is not sturdy is not acceptable. Suggest new garden furniture. Number 19 next door had a patio and chairs. We felt that we have paid alot of money for this holiday having saved up a whole year for this holiday and was underwhelmed, disappointed, dissatisfied with the property. There was too many hazards that could cause a potential accident due to failing to put the above mentioned preventative measures. There was no WiFi or Internet provided and suggest that be facilitated. We also didn't think it was fair that number 19 had three hooks for their boat. The plac and barrier for this property was so worn, we couldn't put our Dingy boat in the water as there was only one hook available and meant that we couldn't tie our boat up. Mooring our boat was the main reason of staying in this property and we were very disappointed that the owner couldn't facilitate this. The mattresses were comfortable and the property was clean.

A well proportioned and appointed property. Plenty of space in the living areas downstairs. Main lights allow for good lighting while the lamps allow for a cosier setting in the evenings. The bedrooms have been designed to make best use of the space considering being built into the roof space. The skylights are a welcome addition upstairs allowing for natural light making this a beautiful space. GCH and a good shower were a welcome plus after a long day exploring and rainy days as was the convenience of the washing machine. It was also a pleasant surprise to find that the house was only a 20 minute stroll from our favourite pub and brewery on the broads The Fur and Feather at Woodfordes Brewery. Exploring the broads and surrounding areas from Salhouse was perfect. Thank you for providing us with lovely stay

We felt welcome from the moment we arrived with the thoughtful treats left for us by the owners. This cottage is like a tardis and although looks small from the roadside, was lovely, bright and spacious inside. It was spotlessly clean with very effective dishwasher and washing machine to make self catering as easy as possible. The cottage is superbly equipped and had everything we needed throughout our week’s stay. The location is great, with the conveniences of Norwich and beauty of the Broads close by. Lovely pubs for evening meals in Coltishall. There is a lovely shop and cafe right next door and it was lovely to be able to indulge in beautiful coffees and cakes so easily! We feel this cottage is a real find and can’t wait to return. 5 stars from us.

Had booked for the week, left after the first night - it was that bad!
Bedding, mattresses and pillows with disgusting stains, bed with woodworm and dust, hair and cobwebs on the frame and floor. Curtains from the seventies. Lights not working, no lids for saucepans, freezing cold and damp on arrival and a hostess that wouldnât leave us alone on arrival for 15 mins. Large black tent right outside bedroom window? Also position misrepresented on Sykes website, which makes it appear like itâs right on the Broads waterway when itâs actually on a very busy main road thatâs pretty dangerous if you have a dog, with no direct acess to the waterfront

This cottage is in a great location to Salhouse Broad and for exploring Norfolk. It was clean with good equipment, dishwasher, iron and board, hoover, washing machine, etc, plus some games and books and a very useful information folder about the property and local area. Indoors is a cozy space, we found pleasant for a week, but there's very little outdoor space and the small yard feels very enclosed and smaller than it appears in pictures, not great for children or dogs but you do have the fabulous surroundings. Overall we had a lovely week.
