What our customers say about their holidays

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Richmond, in this quaint wee cottage.
It was so handy for walking to the town which is a lovely place. The parking can be a bit tricky at times but we managed to deal with it. Richmond is lovely and has all your shopping needs right at hand. For coffee we recommend Mocha on the Market Place. The pies from the Noted Pie Shop lived up to their reputation too! We had the most delicious Sunday roast beef lunch in The Fleece and highly recommend going there, even for a drink. We also ate in La Piazza Italian restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you enjoy walking please try some of the recommended walks as they are lovely. The gentleman in the Tourist Information office was extremely helpful giving us advise etc. Also pay a visit to The Station , itâs amazing! We had ice cream there, coffee, shopped in the gift shop and even saw a film in the cinema! All excellent! Also explore the towns and villages round about, they are all so lovely. The cottage itself was excellent. Everything you need and very quiet as it is down a gorgeous wee cobbled street with no traffic. In one minute youâre at the castle and the Market Place. All in all a very enjoyable holiday. Thank you

Had a lovely break and were so pleased to find this cottage was available last minute - when we arrived we all agreed it was actually better than we had expected it to be!
Itâs a large space and was spotlessly clean. Everything inside is such good quality including the beds and towels etc - so comfortable we didnât want to leave!! The location is perfect for the town and surrounding area, car parking is just near the castle up the road or in the market square a few minutes away. We went to the Mocha coffee shop in the square and thought the coffee and chocolates were amazing. We also loved the antique shop down the road from the Mocha coffee shop, there is also an award winning garden to visit just around the corner which is certainly worth the trip. Itâs called Millgate House and is simply stunning. Would recommend Alessandroâs Sicillian for a meal out (amazing steak) and a trip to the nearby waterfalls at Aysgarth is worth the 20 min car journey. All in all, a very special place and the perfect holiday cottage to see it from.

The light fitting was hanging off in the bathroom by its cable.
The fridge was not clean and had wet paper inside the icebox where someone had tried to clean it out Also it was turned off on arrival and we had a lot of cold food to put in there also there was no gate on the garden so you couldnât let The dog into the garden and it said enclosed garden on the description the garden was messy and needed maintenance work also the bin lid in the kitchen was broken also there was holes in the walls in one of the bedrooms also kitchen utensils were in poor cleanliness condition also the sofa had food and wrappers down the side of the cushions also was a bit confused with there being a Child seat connected to the toilet when it says in the description adults only no children under 12

Great cottage in a wonderful location with every amenity you could reasonably wish for. The owners had provided all essentials for washing as well as a welcome pack of tea/coffee/milk on arrival. Jigsaw and games were provided and a great selection of books so even if the weather is unkind there was plenty to help relax. Good WiFi and a smart TV. Really great walks literally across the road for the dog lovers and the reasonably fit. Friendly pub across the road but only does food Friday and weekends. It was great to be close to Richmond and the facilities it offers but much more relaxing to be in a wonderful cottage on the very edge of the national park with amazing views across the Swale valley.

Brilliant position on lovely little street so close to town and castle and river.
We took out £15 parking ticket for the week so didnât need to keep moving car around, which worked well for us. Great to have cycle storage with wonderful, if hilly !! rides all around. House spacious and comfortable but problem with shower control which was a problem for us but was reported. All credit to the cleaners as house was spotless and Covid compliant. It felt that some aspects of the house needed a bit of a refresh and upgrade but beds large and comfortable and overall we had a lovely stay in this super town with easy access to Reeth, Leyburn and even the sea if need a change from the beautiful dales.
