What our customers say about their holidays

Posbury Lodge is a delightful property.
Both inside and out everything has been thoughtfully considered by Ruth the owner who lives nearby and is very welcoming. We were greeted with a delightful provision of homemade scones, cream and jam, teabags , freshly ground coffee and the most amazing homemade chocolate eggs . As dog owners the garden was a joy as the fencing was completely secure and a really much appreciated touch was the outside Butler sink with hose to wash off the muddy paws . In the garden are well marked store cupboards for logs to purchase with an honesty box and another for the recycling and composting bins. The other lovely feature is a great games room accompanied with a hot tub on a terrace , although we did not use either in our stay , these would no doubt be a great bonus to guests relaxation. The inside layout of the cottage flows well with a lovely large double bedroom and single bedroom downstairs and upstairs an attractive double and twin rooms. There is a public footpath nearby for dog walking from the property. We very much enjoyed our stay here and explorations around the Devon countryside despite the week of rain .

Trill is an absolutely beautiful house set in beautiful rolling countryside.
Beer and Lyme Regis are a few minutes away in a car and the local pub is friendly. Basics were to be found at the local garage, either a five minute drive or a highly recommended and beautiful walk away. There are a few bit that could be better but overall it was a beautiful base for a lovely holiday. Some of the furniture was broken (although usable) and the lack of usable Wi-Fi made itself felt with two teenagers in the house. The road in is pretty awful too, but take it slowly and watch out for the potholes and youâll be fine. Donât let this put you off though, being a bit off the beaten track puts you right in heart of the countryside. The local wildlife was a constant joy, with red deer, birds of prey and a menagerie of other species all making an appearance in the beautiful grounds. For eating out River cottage is just around the corner (if you havenât been, go, itâs incredible) and the local pub serves good honest food too. Faultless? No but the positives of Trill far outweigh any of itâs faults. Highly recommend!

Very clean, lovely pictures and plants etc around the apartment, super comfy bed, and located in an ideal position for us, within walking distance to Dartmouth but close to Warfleet Creek to get away from the bustle of the town and walk down to the creek every evening for a quiet drink and sit and listen to the birds. We had no hot water for the last three days, but after reading in the apartment details it would probably take a day to get back to us and discuss our problem, and it had to be an emergency, we decided not to bother as we would then have had only a day left of our holiday. The details in the handbook need updating, vis, incorrect server details for logging on, hob information incorrect, the wrong name of the acomodation was printed on one of the pages, all of this didn't spoil our holiday and we would choose the apartment again as it was clean and comfy and in the right place for us. The details in the handbook could be easily rectified and would add, rather than detract from the company's ratings.

5 The Pottery was a fantastic place to stay in Devon. The location was fantastic, and the property was clean and spacious. We had a very comfortable stay and would love to go back some day. Just a small note to guests about what is and isn't available at the property would be useful when they pack. We packed a few things that were available at the property such as hair dryer, but didn't pack any toilet paper as we thought there would be enough for the number of days we had booked. There was only one in each bathroom, and we had to find a store that was open on a Sunday evening (Co-op was within walking distance) to buy more. For a longer stay, especially with children, it would be useful to know ahead of time what to take.

We had an absolutely fantastic time at this gorgeous cottage.
It definitely exceeded expections, it was cosy, comfortable and scrupulously clean. All the facilities at the lodge were excellent, in particular we loved the Aga stove, the games room and the hot tub was most welcome after a long day exploring the surrounding area. From a lovely introductory email to the amazing welcome basket (the best weâve ever had anywhere), our host Ruth made us feel so welcome. The location was great for getting to all the places we wanted to see. Particular family favourites were Canonteign Falls and Castle Drogo, both well worth a visit. Our family would not hesitate to recommend the lodge to friends and family and we would definitely like to come back.
