  We have just returned from a lovely week away, the lead up to the holiday the owner was informing us of various things that we might need to know whilst during our stay which was extremely helpful.

  The location of the house is just perfect, few minutes walk to the beach front and the shops there. There’s a shop that’s open til late just round the corner for anything that you may have forgotten. The outdoor seating under cover was great, which meant we could still barbecue and eat outdoors regardless of the weather. We used the hot tub most nights it was such a lovely add on. The kitchen has everything you could need, the freezer space is limited but we made do. The bedrooms on the front of the house could do with black out curtains as the sun would come shining through first thing. There was 10 of us all together and never felt cramped at any point during the week, plenty of bathrooms for all of us. The bedroom and bathroom doors have frosted glass panels in so could see through. The bathroom door especially could do with the glass being covered up. Great Yarmouth is a ten minute drive away. We went to see the seals at Horsey beach which is a 25 minute drive away. We hired a boat for the day on broads again which is 25 minute drive away. The kids room with all the books and toys was a great touch, we didn’t need to bring all the toys to keep the kids entertained. Would highly recommend this house.

  We stayed in Hazel cottage for a weekend, there were 3 families of four so 6 adults and 6 children.

  The cottage was perfect. The layout is really good with the open plan kitchen and dining area which has an extra area with a sofa and tv. The room at the back with the log burner was really nice and we could easily watch the kids in the hot tub which they absolutely loved. The bedrooms are really nice and you can ask for twins or double beds before you arrive. The location is great and really close to all the local attractions, we walked into town one day which was a nice walk. The only criticism I would have is when you search for properties on Sykes and Hazel comes up it clearly states ‘no pets’ but when we arrived there were dog treats in the house and some old towels for drying dogs so we could have taken ours but instead we left them at home being looked after. It was a bit disappointing as it’s great to walk your dog in the lakes. One more tiny detail is the walk in the information pack in the cottage is not very easy to follow, the directions are wrong and it basically stops directions before you get to the town. It was a great weekend though and we will be staying again in the future.

  We were 4 generations of family sharing this accommodation, including 2 octogenarians and a 4 month old baby, and found the facilities, space and layout was suitable for all.

  The location is very good, merely 5 minutes drive from Bowness and within easy reach of the many attractions the area has to offer. We enjoyed the hot tub and our regular visits from the ducks. The telephone contacts prior to the holiday, and staff on arrival, were all very friendly and helpful. The only disappointment was the downstairs twin bedroom, which I would say is only suitable for children. All other bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe and drawer storage with dressing table and mirror area, plus en-suite facilities. The downstairs twin room, which has shared bathroom facilities, has very little storage, no shelf or dressing table area and no mirror, which made it difficult for my wife when drying hair, applying make-up etc. Nevertheless, we would certainly return and have already recommended the cottage to others.   Stayed at the old coach house for a week as a family 13 (7 adults, 5 kids, 1 baby) for my father in law’s 70th birthday.

  What an absolutely stunning property! It was everything and more that we could have wished for! There was ample room for us all, the beds were super comfy, the living room was big enough for us all to sit and relax, the crab shack and hot tub was thoroughly enjoyed by the adults and the kids! We honestly couldn’t have found a more perfect place, my father in law was absolutely over the moon! Having the separate dining room worked perfectly for the night we hired a private chef as a surprise, the food and service was incredible and I’d highly recommend doing it for a special occasion! The only thing that would have also been great was having a baby gate at the bottom of the stairs as well as the top just because we had 2 very adventurous little boys that love climbing lol! But it was no problem, there were enough eyes on them to stop them going up! Overall a perfect stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return!

  This is indeed a quite superb property ideally situated, immaculately clean with all the comforts of home .

  ...plus much more ! We were made up of 4 couples + 1 with differing taste, I guess, on style and design ....yet the hosts Allison and Paul have 'pulled together' a very tasteful and quirky array of furniture & additions making it so comfortable, unique and fun. The outdoor space coupled with the spacious rooms easily accommodated us all, noting all bedrooms were indeed on the large side. The kitchen is worthy of special praise with designer units, worktops and all facilities required. The property is located within easy walking distance of the Town so the ample car parking space saw all our cars safely parked away for the long weekend. The hosts have done a fantastic job in making this a quite superb place to stay and enjoy. Having some experience in the hospitality field I can only be in awe of what has been achieved here.
