  Firstly, the photos show it larger than it really is even though it was big enough for us.

  Dogs were safe in the garden & that was a large plus. Cleanliness? For most it was very clean, but I must say that that 2 of the freezer trays were dirty & had to be cleaned before use. (Bits of food gone green in corners) Dog lost her ball under settee & she came out covered in fluff & dirt. When looking to see under, would say it is months of dirt under them. Hoovered before we left & the cleaner should empty it, as was nearly full with dirt. Instructions on how to use appliances would be great, as we have never used them sort of appliances before & sure that other will have same problem. Sky TV, but need code to access most of it unless watching the free channels. Maintenance was fast, great & friendly when we needed him for a problem, but that did not stop us doing anything. Now for the overall stay of two weeks: Neighbours are very friendly & helpful. We had a very nice stay & it was easy to get to shops. great fish & chips from the Village Fish & Chips Shop in Cubert were fantastic, nicely priced & only 5 mins in car. Both our dogs loved it there & meeting neighbour’s dogs with advise on where to take them, & we had a very nice overall stay. Easy parking was an advantage when raining. En suite bathroom bed is great but other bed needs a topper of mattress change. We will use again when we go to Cornwall, as it is a great place to stay & easy access to other parts of south Cornwall. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves & sorry we had a few bits that needed speaking about, but without telling you, you don't know.

  I cannot explain how brilliant this property is!

  !! Brilliant location, superb position and when we walked in, immaculate! The pictures for this property do NOT do this justice as looks extremely modern however it is VERY homely clean, modern and extremely comfortable! Everything you can imagine is supplied from cleaning materials, a very manageable, immaculate kitchen with washing machine, dryer and dishwasher! The oven is brilliant (NEFF) with a great hob and upgraded extractor fan! The garden is amazing with lovely shrubs, plants, and there is even a smoking area which is rare with properties today! (I am a smoker). Brilliant showers although en-suite very small but, adequate! Beds extremely comfortable as are the pillows! Nicki has ensured the lady staying has the right equipment with dressing table, light and mirrors! Do NOT park on the driveway to the driveway in front of garage as we have low sills on our Audi which caught and the neighbour came out and directed us to the rear parking space round to the rear! There is a fantastic garden shed which you can have a night with a few beers if the weather isn’t good! Only criticism was that the garden furniture was very uncomfortable as they need deeper, heavier garden pads! Would we stay here again, absolutely yes and cannot understand why this property is not booked all through the year!!!! Thanks Shane and Nicki for the fantastic experience you have given us!!!!   Absolutely stunning place and perfect location, took two goes round the block to find it as kept missing turning, on arrival lovely home made scones and Jam and cream and milk for a coffee thankyou so much was a lovely thoughtful gesture to do after a long journey to get here ,the whole house is amazing and we didnt want to leave ,wish I'd booked longer ,next time will do ,hot tub was lovely for my daughter when it worked might need a little attention as few times kept cutting out ,first few days of using it ,but she enjoyed it ,after a long walk in the day visiting places ,only other thing would be the shower is definitely better in room with the patio doors, it's amazing ,other one doesn't drain to good ,but wasnt a problem ,as they just used mine ,beautiful place ,could wake up here every morning, beds are very comfy ,we had lovely weather which was a bonus ,everything we needed was here two keys would be ideal if going separate ways but guessing that's why the key safe there also ,but a lot of people don't like using them so that could be an idea ,our daughter lives here now to in Crantock so not far away ,so was ideal for us to be in Newquay, can't wait to visit again ,once again thankyou so much for making our stay even better by having a lovely place to come home to after a long day ,see you soon we will be back regards Karen Steven and Charlotte and Paris

  We had a lovely week at An Drowes in June 2023 and would highly recommend.

  The property was spotlessly clean upon arrival and we were very impressed with the quality of furnishings and facilities. Everything feels brand new! We also thought the hand written card and freshly baked scones upon arrival were a personal touch. Location is great for access to the town and beaches as well as exploring other areas of Cornwall. You also have lots of choice nearby for food as well as several supermarkets. The only downside to our stay (which was quickly rectified) is that we noticed on arrival that the hot tub water was green in colour rather than clear/blue with a very strong chemical smell. We didn’t think anything of this and also didn’t want to complain, but unfortunately after the first use two of our party had experienced a burning sensation and rash on their back and legs immediately after coming out of the water and after the second day and use we all had the same. We notified this to the owner and on the same day the hot tub water was replaced with crystal clear water and we didn’t experience any further issues. Despite the small issue as it was handled quickly and as it didn’t spoil our stay, we would highly recommend choosing this property and would revisit again in the future when deciding to stay in Newquay.   We had a lovely time, clearly a great deal of time and money has been spent on making this holiday home into a great place to stay.

  Very modern, clean and tidy. We were very comfortable staying here. Shame about the area it is in as it is very run down, but it didn’t spoil our stay at all. A couple of things I think need addressing and that is when I stripped the bedding as asked before we left. there were no pillow protectors. This is a must especially with what we have all been through in the last year, also on the duvet itself, on both beds were some yellow stains. The mattress had a protective cover but they didn’t want this stripped off. I would say that needs washing each time. Also we were very lucky with the weather and spent time sitting outside on the outside furniture. There was a lot of dried bird droppings and would of been nice if this could of been washed down and brushed away. If you have an electric toothbrush take an adapter as there is no electric shaving sockets in the bathrooms. The owners left us homemade scones with cream and jam on our arrival and milk. Which I felt was a lovely touch. Also a card welcoming us with some great recommendations for dog walks. We felt very at home all week and the hot tub was a bonus and very relaxing. Thank for letting us stay.
