Really nice place to stay.
Right in the centre of everything from walking / driving distance. The apartment was clean and tidy upon arrival and instructions how to collect the keys from the apartment prior to arrival was very clear. The apartment has the basic things you need for your stay. To access the apartment you need to go up around 30 steps so if you have walking difficultyâs or mobility issues I would check this prior to booking. Salt , pepper , oil , hand soap , washing up liquid , cloths , tea towels and limited dishwasher tablets was also provided what we was unaware off. Also a welcome box with tea bags / coffee / biscuits / sugar / milk sticks was in the apartment kitchen , this was a unexpected nice touch. The allocated parking spot was available the whole time we arrived although upon check out there was a car blocking us in behind our car , but lucky we could get out from a tight squeeze down the other parking space next to it as there was not a car there. If there was we would have not been able to get out. The night before the same car was also blocking us in but by time we went out late afternoon it was gone so had no issue getting out. The only thing I would say and it has been mentioned on another review is maybe a welcome pack , as we was not sure where to put the rubbish and instructions on the Wi-Fi code and maybe how to use the hive and what to do with used towels / if we was required to strip the bedding etc. Overall though it was a lovely stay and would definitely recommend Windermere Crescent , brilliant for small familyâs or a couple.

Another good (weather) week at this very nice apartment, apart from a number of unexpected events , as follows: 1) We arrived at approx 4.
30pm on Saturday 11th Jan to find that a) The Lounge area was very cold as was the radiator (showing 14.0 degrees) and b) there was No hot water. 2) We managed to increase the room temperature by pressing the + button but this was temporary as next day the temp could not be increased and the area remained very cold. The Hot water was obtained by using the Boost setting, as instructed in info book, until we realised that it had been set to 'Off' when we arrived. We re-set the timer correctly. 3) My wife reported the lack of warmth from the radiator to Sykes at Chester on Sunday morning 12th Jan but we could not reset and nothing happened that day and so we phoned again on Monday morning. A Maintenance Team (with owners consent) came early pm but could not re-set radiator temps or timings as required. Another call to Gabrielle in Property Maintenance next morning brought another visit from Maintenance (we were out) and this time the radiators worked ok.(Good for the following weeks guests no doubt). 4) Surely, this amount of hassle for paying guests should not impact on a holiday as this. So much time spent on phone calls, messages, organisation etc. 5) Thanks to Gabrielle from Sykes Property Services Team for persisting in sorting out the problem but doubts about cost cutting persist ( one toilet roll now - for instance in a Gold Standard Property). Fenty's is a beautiful apartment.
We had the lovliest time staying there. The apartment is so clean and well decorated and has quality furniture and appliances. The bathroom is a touch of luxury with a huge free-standing bath and also a walk in shower. I noticed a past review saying there was no hairdryer, the owners have obviously took note of that and there is a hairdryer now. The wifi is great. Neil had left a wee welcome letter with helpful info eg passwords, parking , nearest supermarket (co-op is 50 yards to the left of the apartment) and also milk and biscuits in the fridge. The apartment is in a great position with easy walking access to the beautiful lake and an abundance of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Fentys was a great place for us to stay on our first visit to the Lake District. The hall and stairs up to the apartment is in need of some TLC, but it's very secure and only people staying in Fentys or Miss Potters Loft have access by key. Lakelovers also gave us a courtesy call to make sure everything was to our liking, which was nice. I highly recommend the apartment and would return in a heart beat.

Our first visit to the Lakes and wow wow wow for a beautiful apartment.
To wake up to the view each morning was just amazing. We slept so well every night in such a fantastic bed which was just sublime. It was so quiet and peaceful. We were lucky enough to see the deer, bunnies and squirrels each day. We even saw the jets which was truly amazing. The apartment was absolutely spotless and just so beautiful and we felt very special. The whole Manor was just amazing, very clean, well manicured gardens, and so quiet. We never ever heard anyone else! We would suggest a couple of things to make it even better, a summer quilt option, we took the quilt out and just used the duvet cover as, even with the windows open we were really hot a couple of nights, some pillow protectors and finally maybe a little welcome pack, maybe a cake,loaf of bread and some milk as we , as others also maybe, have driven a long way. Overall, we have had the best time ever and cannot thank you enough for allowing us to share your apartment and we cannot wait to come back next year. Thank you so so much. I will give the good feedback first.
The property is very clean, renovated very well and the host was very welcoming even letting us in early. It is also very close to the lake, less then a 10 minute walk. The disappointing points is altho it stated there was a garden this is shared with the host family and is not fenced off, so wasn't able to leave the door open for air due to having my dog with me. There are no windows in the property so your only option is to leave the door open, which if you have your dog with you is not possible. The other disappointing thing is you are woken very early hours to banging from upstairs, so not the romantic hiking trip we had planned. The hot water runs out very quickly, resulting in an old fashioned strip wash out of the sink. It was also very cold. The guide left in the flat stated you can adjust the temperature by turning the radiators, but no heating came on. Luckily there are extra blankets in the property. I would definitely go back to the lakes but unfortunately would book a different property next time.
