  Our booked six night stay consisted of one night before we gave the keys back and found somewhere else to stay.

  In 25 years of renting holiday cottages, this was by far the worst. Spartan, poorly equipped, no room whatsoever, no storage space and what we believed to be us having the run of a large garden (as the photos depicted) for our two spaniels, we had a 12 x 12ft patch of grass. The tv is at a 45 degree angle to the settee, so you had to crane your neck to watch it. No net curtains so no privacy. A kitchen without a cooker, draining board or washing machine, the latter essential for a cottage that's supposedly dog friendly. As for the front door..... We were told NOT to turn the car around using the property opposite's drive which necessitated reversing down the narrow lane to get out, no mention of this when we booked. Presumably the cottage owners and the neighbour don't get on? The directions to the place weren't even accurate. If this place WAS converted from a barn, I can only assume that the barn was more comfortable. When we departed on the Sunday morning, the owners weren't in, so I texted them to say we'd left the place and to let them know where we'd left the key. Several hours later they replied to say, "oh dear, thanks for letting us know, we hope you find something more suited to your needs". No apology, no " what could we have done to make your stay better?", essentially, " thanks for your £400, 'bye". I just can't believe the glowing reviews for this place, people must have very low expectations. We will NEVER book through you again, a complete and utter disappointment.   We really enjoyed the location and the facilities.

  Lovely friendly welcome from Kirsty and John and felt we could ask if we needed anything. Fantastic touches with dog bowl, poo bags and treats as well as Milk, yummy scones, jam and cream! A unique location which added to our experience. It wouldn’t suit all, but we loved it. It is one of the few places we have been which we would love to go back to. Loved visiting lots of beaches and exploring. We found The cabin very dog friendly and were pleased that the dogs were able to stretch their legs just outside the cabin not always on leads, which always makes life a little easier! Kirsty and John are developing the site which it would have been nice to know before hand, but the quality of the cabins and thicknesss of the windows meant very little noise and also the worker on site we found was very considerate. It’s such a lovely location- we are not surprising they are adding another cabin! We took dressing gowns to walk to and from the hot tub, which I would highly recommend on chilly days/ evenings! Also a torch is required when wandering to the hot tub at night.

  Hole heartedly recommend this property. Bright and airy with everything you need. We loved the separation of bedrooms (due to snoring) and the under floor heating. This was enough in January and despite taking logs we didn’t have to have a fire, admittedly I was disappointed about this. Something about men and starting a fire!! Dishwasher, cooker and washing machine all used without a hitch. Said to my partner and Cornish friends that stayed as well. I want to live here. Even Daisy the golden retriever was so relaxed and chilled out. The Cove inn great Friday night with the Cadgwith singers and brilliant food. Easy access onto the coastal path for good walking. Booking again for later in the year. Contact with the owner was easy and staying an extra night was simple and straightforward.. We stay a lot in Cornwall and have done over the past few years.This rates in my top 3 of self catering properties place to stay at.

  We had a great time staying at Tor down Quarry.

  The cabin was very clean and decorated to a high standard, we had everything we needed to relax and enjoy ourselves. The views across the local countryside were beautiful and the lakes were a spectacular place to have fun with the family. we stayed for three nights and didn't feel the need to leave the site as it was such an enjoyable place to be. We arrived late on our first night as traffic was bad but Kirsty made sure that once we had got to the site picking up the key and getting into our cabin was super easy. Once in we were greeted by a delicious plate of local scones along with plenty of tasty jam and cream to go with them which we all enjoyed tucking in to! We highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a great place to relax and unwind.

  The house is spacious, well equipped and fresh. Location is wonderful, a short walk away, less than 5 mins is the village front which is probably one of the most picturesque places in the country. Coastal walks are phenomenal. Cadgwith Cove Inn is welcoming and has lovely food, with the folk night on a Tuesday and the Sea Shanty on a Friday well worth joining in, after a few pints (for me anyway) as anyone is welcome to sing (our daughter sang and was rewarded with a drink and cheers/claps) - well deserved of all the awards the pub gets. The owners are very friendly. The house is right near to a public parking space in Cadgwith which is handy if you have a lower slung car. The only disappointment is that we couldn't stay forever.
