  Pont View is a clean, upgraded, well equipped and tastefully furnished apartment in the heart of the main shopping and dining street in Fowey. There is a beautiful view across the estuary from the kitchen as well as from the roof deck. Please note, it is rather tricky to access this deck for anyone with mobility issues. On that note, for visitors unfamiliar with Fowey, there is no parking near the property. You must park your car in one of the town's car parks; the main one of which is accessed either by a very steep ten minute walk or via a shuttle service. In terms of visiting Fowey itself, there are a number of cute shops and good restaurants. Our favorite restaurant was Pintxo, a wonderful little tapas place about a ten minute walk. And if you are planning day trips, don't miss Polperro.

  We have just returned from an amazing week at the Duchy, Lemain Apartments in Looe. The apartment is very comfortable and has superb views from every window. You will feel at home as soon as you arrive, There are quite a few steps to the property but we did not find this a problem as you are rewarded with the peace and quiet at such an elevated position. The bed is incredibly comfortable and has a high quality mattress and bedding. We enjoyed spectacular weather for our week’s stay and travelled around as well as enjoying local coastal walks and delicious evening meals with freshly caught seafood. We can’t recommend this property highly enough and would willingly stay here again.

  Warm welcome on arrival.

  The cream tea on arrival was a wonderful thought with home made jam. Richard and Judy could not of done more to make our stay perfect. The Hideaway was beautiful and cosy. The log fire on a cold night was a real treat. The hideaway is set in beautifully landscaped gardens with many flowers and seating areas which, we made full use of. A great base for visiting every part of Cornwall. Richards extensive knowledge of the roads and weather essential. We couldnt think of anything to improve our stay. Thank you so much!   Lovely stay at The Hideaway.

  Place is a great size with kitchen that supplies everything, enabling good home cooked meals whilst staying. Pictures shown are all of the property, bedroom has door as does the living /dining room. External bedroom door has lock and key with pull down blind so private and secure. No need to use it though as can access bedroom through property. Our hosts were friendly and quiet. Avaliable for any help or questions but otherwise kept to themselves. Great location on bus route to Truro and St Austell with bus stop 3 minutes walk away from property. Will stay here again and will recommend to friends and family.

  Having never heard of Original Cottages prior to booking this property, my natural scepticism kicked in however, what a fantastic property Pont View was. The real life representation is better and I feel it should be noted that the amenities included go above and beyond what you’d normally expect (cafetière, good quality pans, scented candles, Amazon echoes in every room and absolutely wonderful hand wash)! All in all, we had a wonderful time and it was a pleasure returning to Pont View after a busy day. I would thoroughly recommend to others and will certainly be using Original Cottages again
