  We really enjoyed our stay in this fantastic old property. The upper bedroom which has windows on all four sides was a joy. The children found it very exciting, especially the bath in the middle of the room, and we loved looking through the books. On the first floor there are the other bedroom and living room, which was well supplied with firewood, and in the evenings we were cosy in front of the fire. The other good thing was the two shower rooms located in one of the turrets. The underfloor heating was much appreciated, and it was fun being in the turret. We only used the actual dining room once, since it was inconvenient to run across to it in the cold weather, but it was a lovely room and we had the candles going to get the best atmosphere. The owner of the main house was very obliging and took us in to see the main hall - a fantastic old building. All in all it was a very enjoyable time and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet countryside setting.

  Heaven!

  This is the perfect getaway! We visited a few weeks ago (beginning of May) and we enjoyed every second of our stay. Not only the place is dog friendly but it’s a dogs heaven (humans as well). You enjoy a spacious garden, featuring beautiful trees and a small stunning church. The sensation of relaxation strikes you immediately once you enter the premises. The whole time, you basically feel like you live in a fairy tale - just enjoying wine or coffee in the garden is unmatched. The house is stunning, very clean and equipped with anything you might dream of. The hosts are unbelievably kind and welcoming, available for any questions or issues, and even though you wouldn’t want to leave, nearby you can find stunning locations (such as Much Wenlock - don’t miss Wenlock Priory and the stunning Bodenham Arboretum). Don’t second guess, this is a “must destination”.

  Utterly beautiful and done really well

  This venue is an amazing place to stay. Yes it has some slightly less practical aspects (the spiral staircase and dining room only being accessible from outside but these are more than overcome by the benefits. Not only are you staying in a 17th Century Gate house in beautiful well kept grounds in the middle of some very beautiful countryside and at night sleeping in beds large enough you need to send out a search party for your partner but this place is set apart hy the little things that are just done right. It is well thought out though out and finished to a high standard and has all the things you want and does it well. It even has a kitchen you can cook in. Over and above the place is a warm friendly place to stay that extremely interesting and luxurious. Highly recommended and would happily visit again.
