  Fern Lea is wonderful! The house is well designed, warm and comfortable. The bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable and the en-suite shower is hot and easy to use. Be wary of bumping your head on the low entrance to the bedroom though, my husband got caught a number of times. The light and airy kitchen is lovely to spend time in. And the garden is stunning even though we didn’t really have the weather for sitting out in it. If you have a large/tall dog be aware that there is a low section of fence at the back of the garden, to allow nice views, but if your dog is an escape artist they may get out, I would guesstimate the fence is approx 3ft high. Other than this the garden is very secure which is always a concern for us and our terrier. We were able to park outside every day, sometimes on the opposite side of the road due to there being another car there already. The bar and shop are so handy being just across the road, the shop shuts at 5pm. The Ship pub down the road was closed when we were there but was nice when we visited on previous years. And The Jolly Sailors in Brancaster Staithe is a nice and relaxed and The White Horse is a bit more up market. The walk to the beach is an easy and flat 20-30 mins, and Brancaster beach is a great beach for the dogs, nice flat compacted sand. You can drive down and park at the car park but at £6 for 2 hours parking we preferred to walk! Fern Lea was very clean and has lovely faux flowers all over the place, I felt very at home. Thank you

  We had the most incredible Christmas stay at Park Farmhouse, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a festive wonderland. The property is stunning, spacious, and brimming with character, perfectly blending rustic charm with modern comfort. The living areas are beautifully appointed, with cozy furniture and a roaring fire that made for the perfect setting for Christmas gatherings. The kitchen is well-equipped, making it a joy to prepare festive feasts for the whole family. The dining area, with its gorgeous views of the countryside, was the perfect backdrop for Christmas dinner. Each bedroom is tastefully decorated and comfortable, ensuring everyone had a restful night's sleep. The outdoor space is equally fantastic—great for morning walks and exploring the surrounding countryside. We loved waking up to peaceful views and crisp Norfolk air. What truly set this property apart was the attention to detail—every amenity was thoughtfully provided, and the house was spotless. It’s evident that the owners put great care into creating a welcoming and luxurious experience for their guests. If you’re looking for a perfect countryside escape, whether for a special occasion or a relaxing getaway, Park Farmhouse is an absolute gem. We’re already dreaming about our next visit!

  Had such an amazing week at 30 Burtons Mill.

  The property is excellently maintained. We had a problem with the TV but after speaking with the owner who managed to get a chap out early the following day, all was well. Couldn’t have asked for better service. Being able to sit on the front in the sunshine after a “long day on the beach” was an added bonus. We have stayed in this area previously and decided to return as it’s perfectly situated with being close to a friendly pub (The Swan) which serve good food and outside pods which can be reserved. Tesco is on the doorstep. Sea Palling is only a short drive away and our favourite beach with only a five minute walk from the car park (short cut over the dunes from the furthest away car park and parking as far away from the entrance) where youll find lots of vacated beautiful soft sand to play ball games and shallow waters if you fancy a swim as we did. The lady next door told us about a Groupon offer for Simpsons boatyard (literally just around the corner) which we took up. Roughly half price 2 hour electric boat hire. Of course fabulous weather can make or break your holiday but we had wall to wall sunshine every day!!!If I have one issue it is the road noise but other than that it’s top marks out of all the properties we’ve stayed in over the years in and around the area.   A really good property that was accurately described and made for a great stay.

  While I wasn't sure how the table and chairs in the front garden would work out, we were pleasantly surprised to find it’s actually very discreet as the house is at the end Burton Mills with no passing foot traffic. Clever use of laurel means you get privacy without loss of sunshine. It was also our first time using Sykes for a holiday rental and everything went very smoothly from booking to arrival. I would definitely recommend this property for anyone wanting to stay in the north east Norfolk area. Town has supermarket, butchers, cafe and pub and a very popular fish and chip takeaway (queues on a Friday, so get there in plenty of time!). The back garden is largely in shade, but it proved a good place to store our bikes (you might want to bring a padlock to make the back gate extra secure). The property does back on to the A149, but the traffic noise did not concern us unduly. Great location, smart, well-presented home.

  A lovely house - clean, well-equipped and it felt very much like a home from home. Super comfy beds and black out blinds and lovely linen = really good nights sleep. Much needed! Great large garden - our spaniel has loved running up and down with plenty to sniff! Next door's pond hs been of interest to him! Maybe if we visit again, the hedge will be higher and denser which would alleviate this minor issue. We are frequent visitors to the area. We love the beach at Old Hunstanton. On previous trips we also enjoyed the beach at Wells, Holkham, Brancaster and Titchwell. We've enjoyed coffee and cake at The Lodge in Old Hunstanton, Bircham Village Stores, and The Hoste in Burnham Market. Drove Orchard is a lovely farm shop with great variety of fruit, veg, cheese, bakery, etc. Eric's fish 'n' chips always good too!
