  My friend and I stayed at Elice Cottage for a week from 13th July 25. We had a marvellous time and thoroughly enjoyed our fabulous stay in this gorgeous house. Firstly can I say that the description and photos on the Holiday Cottages website do not do justice to this amazing property. Everywhere and every room was spotlessly clean. The 3 bathrooms were spotless and very well equipped with ample toilet paper, hand soap and beautiful white towels. In the downstairs bathroom there was even a mirror opposite the main over the sink mirror so you could see the back of your head! Fancy that! The kitchen was very very well equipped with everything you could want in a kitchen. The owners even thought of bag ties. The wooden butter knives were brilliant and I 'm still looking for them to buy online! There's a large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine - all extremely clean. The owner left dishwasher and washing tabs under the sink, along with kitchen towels and tea towels. Also there was carpet stain remover in case of accidents - a great addition as the carpet is light coloured. There is a great stock of drinking glasses - water, wine and champagne flutes. There was six of everything and enough cutlery, knives, serving spoons, etc for the family. Upstairs there are 2 bathrooms one of which is en suite to the double bedroom. Both rooms were very well furnished with comfy beds and white cotton bedding. Very quiet area. The outside area is also well stocked with garden games, bbq, large table and six chairs. 2 pull out washing lines, and a further airer behind kitchen door and bucket of pegs. The village of Mundesley is lovely with a beautiful beach, a couple of great pubs and a few cafes and independent shops. For a large supermarket it's only about 15 minutes away in Stalham. The bus services are brilliant going to Cromer, North Walsham, etc. The bus stop being just five minutes walk away. In conclusion, Elice Cottage is a real hidden gem. I would highly recommend this holiday home for anyone who wants a quiet and comfortable Norfolk base from which to explore this beautiful region of England.

  Our stay was just magical the best holiday we have ever had. We were celebrating our 9th Wedding Anniversary and our hairy child's 5th Birthday (fox red Labrador Harvey). He had never been so relaxed on holiday we have taken him in holiday three times and every time he has been panty and highly alert the whole time where as here he was just so relaxed probably because the property was so immaculately clean. We really felt at home and had a really luxury hamper on arrival which we weren't expecting. The adjacent lane was so quiet I think it was three days before we heard a car. We found the area really accessible to other places and although we thought we would have to travel to Norwich for food etc thanks to the owners informative welcome information pack there was a small co-op in Loddon a few mins drive up the road that's was perfect when we didn't fancy going further afield. Also I found a footpath going through crop fields up the adjacent road just past a couple of houses which was just magical fir my first walk if the day with Harvey will a handy poop bin at the junction of this lane. The weather was perfect mostly dry and sunny but we actually spent the first and most of the last day in the property as I just felt so relaxing. I slept in the single bed as I M a light sleeper and I am 5 9 and larger build I was very comfortable and slept like a baby despite being used to a king size double at home.my husband was very comfortable in the big room and both bathrooms were fab. The kitchen was well equipped with proper salt and pepper mill and cheese grater which I always seem to take with us as have often found this items to be absent. The sofa was also very comfortable which was great. My husband and I have never returned to a holiday property as we always like to do new things but really felt that this property and location was exceptional so I fully expect us to be coming back to this one. I also absolutely did not want to come home and definitely wished we a booked a two week stay. Thank you so much for our lovely peaceful relaxing stay all three of us are very grateful.

  The Lodge at Orchard House is just ¾ of mile from the A140 but is incredibly peaceful.

  The cottage was spotlessly clean and the owners gave us a comprehensive tour on our arrival. There is an allocated parking space just off the road with the cottage a short, slightly uphill walk behind the owners’ house. We were able to park on the neighbours’ drive and use a side gate in order to unpack our car which reduced the distance to walk to the cottage with our suitcases etc. The owners provided a very generous welcome pack that included a loaf of bread, milk, tea bags, a pot of jam and biscuits. I was a bit surprised by the small fridge with a freezer compartment; we ate at the cottage every evening so it meant regular trips to the shops to replenish for our packed lunches and evening meals. There is a large Tesco just 10 minutes towards Norwich. The cottage is furnished to a very high standard and we were very comfortable during our stay although I found the double bed to be a bit too firm for my taste. My husband was particularly grateful for the grab handles in the walk-in shower. All-in-all it was a lovely stay, the cottage was perfectly located for the days out that we had planned.

  We had an enjoyable stay at Wallflower cottage and would recommend it to others.

  Its location affords particularly good access to the beach/ coast. However, with a little more attention, the owners could make this an even better offer. For example, we holidayed during the hottest week of the year but on arrival, discovered a winter duvet on the main bed. The bedroom door also rubbed on the carpet and really needs to be planed on the bottom. The potato peeler was also a bit pants but that may have just been my dodgy fingers. General instructions left on the coffee table could be improved to make most of the property and the surrounding areas. (The WiFi was a bit patchy and didn't extend further than the sofa and I had to link the SMART TV into the internet to access YouTube, iPlayer, Amazon, etc.) The property was cleaned to a good standard but certain areas looked a little tired (flaking paint and walls where guests have rubbed against); which will undoubtedly be addressed in the off-season. As mentioned, parking is a little tight at the front of the property but this can't be helped. Overall, a really nice stay that has left us with some pleasant memories. Thank you.

  Ideal location for broads and coast.

  Sweet characterful cottage. Well equipped kitchen. Modern heaters easy to use. Unfortunately the cottage has a large spider population and the patio was full of weeds so even if the weather had been better we wouldn't have wanted to sit out there (unless we weeded it ourselves!) We didn't find the cottage particularly comfortable, the dining chairs very hard, very small wardrobe in the main bedroom and no wardrobe, bedside table dressing table or drawers in the second double bedroom so nowhere to put anything, four wall hooks were supplied plus one on the door. Although only two of us, we needed to use both the rooms for health reasons (we are in our 70's). To make matters worse the very characterful cottage opposite has a security light flashing many times over night, straight through the very thin curtains so this disturbed our sleep. (Not the fault of the owner of course). Didn't like the absence of curtains or blinds in the kitchen and bathroom. However it is a very good location, lovely walks straight from the cottage.
